Injection molds are the lifeblood of any plastics parts manufacturer. When your machines aren’t running due to unexpected mold issues, your company not only loses money in the form of machine downtime, but potentially customers and future business due to late deliveries.

At M&M Tool, not only do we take the maintenance of your investment seriously, but we believe in a proactive approach to this problem by offering a detailed and thorough Downtime Prevention program.

Downtime Prevention-above and beyond a simple cleaning

Our trained staff will disassemble your injection mold, provide a complete and thorough cleaning of components and sub-components, remove any minor burrs found on parting line/shut-off areas, and email you a detailed inspection report generated by one of our Journeyman Toolmakers of any items we discover that are worn or that we recommend be replaced. This emailed report will include detailed pictures taken of the worn/broken items. At your request, for the items discovered/recommended for replacement, we can provide you with an estimate for those services prior to the mold being shipped back to you.  Be assured that the M&M management team that you have become familiar with will shepherd those repairs through our shop as well as the supply chain of specialty welders, polishers and even hot half maintenance.
